Every psychotherapist has a theory of evil whether it is conscious or unconscious. In a theory of personality development using a somatopsychic perspective we have to search for the forces of destructiveness as they manifest themselves in body, mind, emotion, and relationship to self and others. As we discover the embodiment of evil, of malevolence, of destructiveness in its various forms we can ask how these forces and dynamics are embodied, and how they are to be responded to in psychotherapy. This workshop will engender an exploration of both these questions using an experiential format and the conceptual framework provided by bioenergetic analysis.
* The New York Society for Bioenergetic Analysis is recognized by the New York State Education Department as an approved provider of continuing education for Licensed Master Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Work #0325; Licensed Mental Health Counselor #0055; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #0035; Licensed Creative Arts Therapist #0023; Licensed Psychoanalysts #0026; Licensed Psychologists #PSY-0086.
Professionals requesting NYSED CE hours must sign in and out, provide NY State license # and email address, and complete the program evaluation form. The program must be attended in full - no partial CE hours can be issued.
