The modern focus in psychotherapy on attachment covers many dimensions of the human experience. Enfolded within this concept are specific structures and processes which are usefully articulated and examined separately. This workshop will use the substantial analytical tool of the bioenergetic perspective to illuminate and provide an experiential insight into the basic elements that make up human relationships. The application of these insights to the psychotherapy process will be a focus of the workshop.

The workshop will be co-led by faculty members of the certification program in bioenergetic analysis conducted by the NY Society. Those who might be interested in that program are invited to attend to meet the faculty, learn about the program, and meet some members of current and recent formation groups.

The workshop is in an experiential format and participants are invited to use that method to enter and explore the personal significance of the material being studied. Since that entails movement, it is suggested participants dress comfortably allowing for that.

The NY Society is joining the IIBA in presenting a program on a bioenergetic understanding of connection in relationship. The IIBA conference, taking place in October can be viewed here.
